About

The Thornton Heath Festival is a locally run not-for-profit event organised by a committee of charitable minded local business people (originally the Thornton Heath Business Partnership), local representatives and local volunteers:

Tony Rowland – Chairman

Councillor Callton Young OBE – Vice Chairman

Councillor Pat Clouder – Licensing & Safety Manager

Hon. Alderman & Freeman, Adrian Dennis – Stall Planning & Risks Manager

Renford Carr – Security

Agnes Forbes – Stage Assistant

Councillor Karen Jewitt

The committee works closely with the local council, emergency services and other agencies to ensure that every Festival runs smoothly and without incident – and they all have.

The aim of the Festival is to bring Thornton Heath’s diverse communities together for a fun-packed day by providing something for people of all groups, ages and backgrounds.

The 2019 Festival is the thirteenth.  Last year’s drew a crowd of about 6,000 revelers.
